One form. One business day. One real human on the other end.
Most ABA intake feels like a black box: you submit a form, then wait. That’s not how Clementine works. Share a few details below and a named family coordinator will reach out within one business day to listen, answer the questions you actually have, and tell you honestly whether we’re the right fit for your child - or who else might be.
- A real human, not a queue. A named family coordinator picks up your form - not a generic inbox.
- Your insurance, verified for you. We run benefits and prior auth before any appointment is scheduled.
- A written cost summary. You'll know your out-of-pocket exposure before you commit to anything.
- A clear yes, no, or 'try someone better.' If Clementine isn't the right fit, we'll say so and help you find who is.
- Zero pressure. The first call is free, no obligation, and ends with three honest options.
We never sell or share your data.
The standards we hold ourselves to from the very first call.
Most ABA practices ask families to take a leap of faith. We’d rather earn yours one specific commitment at a time. These are the standards we hold ourselves to from your first message forward.

If we ever can't hold these standards, we'll say so on this page before we stop posting them.
Four steps. No black box.
Filling out a form on a healthcare site shouldn’t feel like signing your child up for something unknown. Here’s exactly what happens after you submit - and the off-ramps if you decide we’re not the right fit.

Day 0
Your form lands with a coordinator.
A Clementine family coordinator picks up your message - not a generic inbox or auto-responder. You'll receive an emailed confirmation that we received your note.

Day 1
We call to listen, not to sell.
A short, no-pressure phone conversation. You share what's going on at home, we share how we'd approach it, and we'll tell you honestly whether Clementine is a strong match - or help you find someone better if not.

Days 2-5

If you'd like to keep going, we verify your benefits and run any prior authorization in the background. You receive a cost summary before you commit to anything.

Weeks 1-4
First session scheduled - or a clean goodbye.
If we're a fit, our clinical lead conducts the intake assessment and matches you to a session team. If we're not, you've lost nothing - and you'll leave the conversation knowing what to look for elsewhere.
Clinical lead + family coordinator
What you can count on us not to do.
Most healthcare intake leaves families bracing for a sales pitch, a paperwork pile, or a slow ghost. We’ve built Clementine specifically around what we promise NOT to do - because that’s where the bar gets set in this industry, and we’d rather clear it visibly.
-
We won't push you into something that isn't right for your child.
If the developmental picture suggests speech, OT, or a different intervention first, we'll say so on the first call. Our job is to help you find the right next step - even when that step is somewhere else.
-
We won't send you a bill you didn't expect.
Every family receives a cost summary - copays, coinsurance, deductible status - before the first billable appointment. No surprise statements, no buried fees.
-
We won't make you chase paperwork.
Benefits verification, prior authorization, denials, appeals - these are our work, not yours. You should never see an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) unless you ask for one.
-
We won't ghost you after the form.
If we can't reach you on the first try, you'll know. If you decline services, you'll get a clean handoff. The form isn't where you disappear into our system - it's where someone picks up the phone.
-
We won't pretend ABA is a fit if it isn't.
We don't enroll every family who reaches out. We'd rather be the right answer for fewer children than the wrong one for many - and we'll tell you which we think you are.
Honest answers to the questions every parent asks first.
The seven questions that come up most before a family submits the form - answered straight, so you can decide whether to send your note.
Cost, insurance, and what to expect
-
What does ABA therapy actually cost?
For most families on commercial or Medicaid plans, ABA therapy is a covered benefit and out-of-pocket cost is limited to standard copays, coinsurance, and deductibles. We verify your specific coverage and provide a cost summary before any billable appointment. If your plan won’t cover ABA, we’ll tell you on the first call and help you understand your options - including providers and programs that may fit your situation better. See our insurance page for state-by-state coverage detail.
-
Does my child need a diagnosis to start?
Helpful but not required. If your child already has an autism spectrum diagnosis, we’ll request the evaluation report when you start. If you don’t have one yet, Clementine will refer to an independent qualified clinician for an evaluation. If your unsure where to start, visit our Free Screener and Diagnosis page to learn more about the evaluation process. Upon receiving your independent your diagnosis - start with the Get Started flow and our coordinator will route you into assessment first, then ABA if appropriate.
-
How long until my child has a first session?
The typical timeline from form submission to first session is about four weeks. That covers the intake call, insurance verification, prior authorization (if your plan requires it), and the intake clinical assessment. Some families move faster; some take longer depending on plan complexity. We’ll give you a realistic timeline on the first call, not a generic estimate.
What the first call actually looks like
-
Who actually calls me back?
A named Clementine family coordinator - a real person, on staff, who handles your case start-to-finish. You’ll have their name, their direct line, and a sense of who they are by the end of the first call. Not a queue, not a bot, not a rotating sales team.
-
What if I just want information, not to enroll?
Tell us. The first call costs nothing and carries no commitment. We’d rather spend 15 minutes answering questions and earn your trust over time than push you into a contract you regret. Some families talk to us six months before they enroll. That’s fine.
-
What if Clementine isn't the right fit for our family?
We’ll say so - and we’ll point you toward someone who might be. We don’t keep a referral kickback list; we’d just rather you find the right care than work with us. About why we operate this way is on our About page.
-
Can I see what your therapy actually looks like before I commit?
Yes. Once you’ve connected with a family coordinator, we’ll walk you through our clinical model - in-home, center-based, or school-based - and you can request a center tour or an observation window before scheduling any appointment. The goal of the first call isn’t to enroll you. It’s to make the next decision easier.
Question we didn't cover?
The fastest way to a specific answer for your family is to send the form above. A named coordinator will reply within one business day - or call us directly if you'd rather have the conversation by phone.
